A humorous theme park in Saaremaa

When visiting the Lambparliament, you can participate in a unique Lambparliament public meeting and welcome the Lamb Army parade with the lamb generals.
The Lambhenge, which has fascinated people for millennia was inspired by a visit to Stonehenge in England in 2023.
We look forward to seeing you at any time of year, because sheep never rest.

Sincerely, Mart Maastik (Sheep representative in Saaremaa)

Lambparliament, Lamb Army & Lambhenge

The Lambparliament consists of 101 stone sheep, all of whom have an important role in the Lambparliament. In addition to the Generals, the Lambparliament has over 70 stone sheep soldiers with the Lamb Army orchestra. Lambhenge is a sheep dance festival, where sheep and rams in traditional costumes dance together.

In total, we have nearly 300 stone sheep and the Lilian Flower Garden, which covers nearly 3 hectares, where you can admire thousands of flowers and plants among the tree-high junipers.

Lambparliament

The Sheep suffered for centuries under the oppression of wolves, foxes and bears. Under the leadership of Lamb the Great, they finally bleated themselves free. Since the formation of the 101-headed Lambparliament, all bills have been presented bleating.

The lifespan of sheep is not very long, which is why there is a constant rotation in the Lambparliament and elections are constantly ongoing.
At the same time, there is also a constant struggle for power. Once a year, the Noseman is elected. The sheep are indeed known for their intelligence. That's where the appreciative expression "sheep brain" and the slogan: "You're truly a sheep!" come from.

However, this has nothing to do with choosing the Noseman. Being nosey and having a nose for trickery is a great advantage during the Noseman elections. That is precisely why sheep don't mind being tricked by sheep politicians, their noses get longer and so they have a greater chance of becoming the Noseman themselves.

Lambparliament opening at Saaremaa

The Lambparliament and Lamb Army theme park was opened on 17.09.2022 with greetings from the Speaker of the Estonian Parliament, Mr. Jüri Ratas, Deputy Speaker Helir-Valdor Seeder, and the Member of the European Parliament, former Head of the Estonian Defence Forces, Mr. Riho Teras, to colleagues and guests.
It's great when top politicians understand and joke around themselves.

Idea & Creation

The idea for 101 stone sheep arose over 15 years ago while observing what was happening in the world both here and across the border.
I had already done the first experiments before and that is how the first stone sheep, a moose, a chick, a pig sheep and a turtle were born.

In 2003, the then Speaker of the Estonian Parliament, Ene Ergma, visited our tourist farm and I introduced my idea to her to make a Lambparliament consisting of 101 political sheep. She thought the idea was in good humor and then asked to show the chairman of the freshly completed Lambparliament. My "colleague" liked it and so she instilled in me even greater faith in the necessity of a Lambparliament consisting of stone sheep.

When Janek Teller joined to help with the sheep creation in the summer of 2021, the sheep herd continued to multiply at a turbo pace. That's how nearly 300 stone sheep were made in almost three years.
I can't complain about the lack of ideas, because everyday life keeps adding more of them. That's how the population of stone sheep keeps growing.

Come take a look, you won't regret it.
